Turkey Stitch

The turkey stitch is such a fun looking stitch! It is fluffy and and really pops off your fabric!

Creating this stitch requires, creating loops, tacking them down, and then trimming the loops. You can create long fringe stitches or short, depending on how much trimming you do.

This stitch is so fun because it feels like you are giving your embroidery art a haircut!

One of my favorite embroidery patterns that uses the Turkey Stitch is my Dahlia 'Bishop of Auckland" embroidery pattern. The yellow fringe in this flower gives it an extra flair that is beautiful.
