Good Vibes Only. Since I've started teaching, Ive tried to adopt this motto into my life. I figure I can't control how other people act around me and what kind of "vibes" they give off, but I can control the "vibes" I give off.
The easier choice is to be negative. Negativity is contagious and it brings other people down. As a teacher, I am around so many different kinds o people. Some are positive and happy to be around. Others are negative and I've learned that its really easy to match their negativity.
I've noticed that when I am happy and pleasant with my coworkers, parents, and my 2nd grade class, they are happy and pleasant in response. I've also noticed that as I focus on positivity, it is easier to be around negative people. I am able to ignore, in a sense, the negativity and pass along some positivity.
I know I can't force others to have "good vibes," but I make an effort to share my "good vibes" and I am happier for it. :)
I created this hoop to remind me to be positive and to pass along good vibes to those I come in contact with. I am not perfect at it, but I try. I made this design into a pattern so that others could embroider it for themselves and have this reminder to pass along positivity.
This design is available as both a pattern and kit.
The pattern comes as an electronic PDF embroidery pattern. It is intended for intermediate to advanced stitchers, but with the "Beginners Embroidery Guide" included, a beginner could also complete this hoop!
